As we unfortunately couldn’t have our usual end of year Teddy Bears’ Picnic with the Junior and Senior Infants, some children decided to have their own with their families. They have sent us some lovely pictures – It looks like ALL the children and ALL the teddies had a super time with lots of yummy treats! Keep an eye out for a special Teddy Bears’ Picnic coming your way very soon boys and girls!
It has been lovely receiving emails and pictures from the Junior Infants to hear all about the super work they have been doing at home and also all the exciting things that have been happening – from losing their first teeth to learning to ride their bikes without stabilisers!! Here are some pictures of all the wonderful things they have been doing at home. I can’t wait to see them again and hear all their news!
We have had such a busy and exciting June on the infant corridor with loads of fun activities and events. The children were absolutely brilliant performing on stage in front of such a large audience at the violin concert. We enjoyed some lovely sunshine for our Teddy Bear’s Picnic and our Sports Day. After such a busy year of hard work, we wish all the children a lovely, relaxing and enjoyable summer and look forward to welcoming them all back in late August. Éilis, Sarah, Suzanne and Grainne
For the last few weeks the children have been learning all about Space. They were really interested to learn about the solar system and Neil Armstrong. They had great fun playing in our space station. They designed and created planets using papier mache and they used their imaginations to make aliens using clay. They learned about gravity and experimented with magnets. They built great spaceships at our ‘junk art’ station. A busy few weeks with a well deserved rest over Easter.
