The healthy living initiative has been a huge success in RNS. The children checked their diaries to ensure they are getting enough sleep and exercise and good food. The lunches were healthy, delicious and nutritious. Healthy living will continue throughout the year. As a reward for the input into healthy living all children are able to come to school tomorrow (Fri 9th) without uniforms. Well done everyone and look at some samples of our wonderful lunches.
The whole school is involved in the healthy living initiative. This includes eating and drinking the correct food and drinks, exercising for 60 minutes a day, keeping ourselves clean and getting lots of sleep. Classes 1st to 6th have a self care diary to fill in at home while the infant classes are engaging in healthy living throughout the day at school. The ‘healthiest’ class will get a homework pass and a no uniform day. It is important that parents and family come on board and encourage children to live healthily.
Reminder that tomorrow (26th Sept) is the last day for Cash for Clobber and the Brennan’s Insurance forms.
Friday 29th Sept is the Bake Sale. Children from 1st class to 6th class will be given a chance to purchase goodies during the day. Children will have no homework on Thursday evening as they can bake instead. There will be books for sale too! Parents are welcome to come in and have a chat and a read from 1.30.
